Sisterly Love

*For an explanation on Ella's head...see post below...

Megan already looks like she's talking back to Jeremy. Ha.

Knots Landing

Ok...so this has got to be the most creative blog title post I've ever done. Ha. Anyway, moving on...so Ella came to the hospital to meet her new sister. Well within 10 minutes of her being there she fell off the couch onto the floor and got a huge goose egg on her head. It was so big the head nurse took her down to assessment to get checked out by the neurosurgeon. Poor baby. Thankfully, everything was okay. So needless to say we did not get the big/little sister pictures that Mommy wanted to that day. She even puked on herself on the way up to the hospital because she got a little choked on what she was eating. Hence the stains on her shirt. Poor girl was not having a very good day.

Welcome to the world Megan Claire!

Megan Claire Parker made her grand entrance into this world at 1:55am on August 10, 2009 weighing 8lbs 2oz and measuring 20 3/4 in long. And it was her actual due date! So she was right on time. My water broke at home around 7:45pm. So I showered, finished packing, and we made our way to the hospital. As we entered the elevator in the hospital my water really, really broke and I pretty much created a flood in the elevator. Anyway, checked in at 10pm and she was here at 1:55am. Thank goodness it was fast because I went natural with this labor and delivery. Anyway, she arrived safely and healthy. And we could not be more blessed. Ella really is loving on her and the first time meeting between Ella and Megan definitely deserves it's own post. So that will be coming later.

Arriving at the hospital

Thankful that it was over at this point.

Look at all that hair!

Happy Birthday Ella!

Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Ella!! She is 2 years old today, and is such a joy. Don't get me wrong...she definitely has her two year old moments that can test her Daddy's and my patience. But she is the joy and light of our lives. We thank God daily for entrusting us with her care. She makes us laugh every single day. And we could not be more blessed to call her our daughter. In honor of her birthday I thought I would do a few fun facts about her. Don't worry...pictures of her day today are coming. I'm just too tired to download them all tonight. :)

Loves: Fire trucks, motorcycles, buses, golf clubs, being outside, telephones, reading books, animals, balloons

Favorite Foods: Pizza, oranges, applesauce, french fries, grapes, apples, mac and cheese. And she's my dipper. She likes to dip her foods in ketchup, ranch, sauces, etc.

Favorite tv show/movie: Toddler Songs, Bear in the Big Blue House, Dora, Backyardigans

Favorite Songs: Itsy Bitsy Spider, The Wheels on the Bus

Favorite Sayings: I running, I do it, I get it, I did it, Mine, No (hence the patience tester for Mommy and Daddy), Love you, It raining, Nanner (Tanner)

She also loves to turn light switches on and off, buckling herself in her booster seat, and falling asleep in her dollhouse. Ella has a huge personality and is very strong willed. She likes routine. For dinner she has us all sit in the same seat every night. And for the most part she's the one that will remind us to say grace before dinner. She loves to hold hands and say our prayer and then say Amen. She loves to read a minimum of 3 books before bed. She has Daddy suckered and he'll read as many as she wants. She's very affectionate when she wants to be and gives the best wet kisses and hugs. And she is a huge Daddy's girl. Daddy is the best thing ever to this girl, and it just melts my heart to see the two of them together. He is so wonderful with her.

She's wonderful and perfect in her own Ella way. We could not have asked for more. We love you very much baby girl!! Happy Birthday!!

Watch out Tiger Woods!

Well tomorrow is Ella's big 2 year birthday! Can you believe it has been two years already? I can't. Anyway, her Daddy wanted to give her her birthday present a day early since he is working at the fire station tomorrow. She LOVED her monogrammed golf bag and golf clubs. As soon as she saw them she screamed...golf clubs and started jumping up and down. Her Daddy was in heaven at that reaction. He can't wait to take her out on the golf course. I'm going to do a big birthday post tomorrow, but until then happy birthday sweet girl. We love you!!!

So excited!

Pay no attention to the dirty shirt...and yes, she has shorts on...

Ella's 2nd Birthday Party

Well, we had Ella's 2nd birthday party this past Saturday. I can't believe my baby is about to be two!!! We decided to have it at the Little Gym since that would be a lot easier on a 37 week pregnant Mommy. It was wonderful and she had a great time! Thank you to everyone for coming out for it. We are very blessed to have the family and friends that we do!!

"Ella-isms"

Sorry this post has no pictures, but our wireless is not working and in order to download pictures we need our wireless working. So we will be fixing that soon. Anyway, here are a couple of things that I wanted to jot down to remember about what Ella is saying and doing at this stage.

-The other morning I went upstairs to get her up and ready for school. I walk into her room and she is not in her bed or on the floor. So I look in the closet...not there either. So now I'm starting to get a little worried. Anyway, I look through her dollhouse window and she is fast asleep on the floor in her dollhouse with her blanket underneath her.

-Also, on the way to school the other day she was making me laugh. So I said, "Ella, you're so funny." To which she responds, "I know." Gotta love the confidence. :)

-She loves saying the words airplanes, motorcycles, fire trucks, buses, raining, and running.

-She loves to be quizzed. She likes for you to ask her which ones is the cat, dog, etc. And she loves to point them out to you.

-And she went tinkle on the potty for the first time ever tonight!!! Jeremy and I were so excited we didn't know what to do, but jump up and down and cheer.

-She is just getting so big and she's turning into such a little girl. She's the light of our lives and we can't wait to see her be a great, big sister to Megan.

-Just a note on Megan...we went to my 37 week appointment today and she's weighing approximately 7lbs 7ozs. So she's looking to be on track to the size that Ella was when she was born. But she looks great and is practicing her breathing. We can't wait to meet our second bundle of joy!!
