Yearly Tradition

So the Pearson's and Parker's have turned meeting at a Titans game a yearly tradition without realizing it. :) Becca and Luke are fabulous people with two beautiful babies (and a third on the way-he'll be here in January). We are so blessed to know them as friends! Thanks Bec for coming and meeting us! I know you were tired and would have rather stayed at home in bed. :) I love you and can't wait to meet Thomas!!!

O Holy Garth!

Oh my stars!!!...BEST...CONCERT...EVER!!! My husband has always wanted to see Garth Brooks in concert. So I bought him tickets and we went. It was the best concert I have EVER been to. If you ever have the chance to see him please go!

Finally...a much needed date night.

What cracks me up in the next two pictures is the three guys at the bottom right of the picture. Such camaraderie!

Look Who Is Starting To Clear Their Land!?!

Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey!!

The Ringling Bros circus came in town the other weekend. I was SO excited because I remember loving that circus when I was little and they don't come to Memphis...like...ever! And the quality of the Ringling Bros circus is wonderful. However, they have downsized. Instead of three ring (when I was little) they are now a 1 ring circus. But it was still a great show. And the girls loved it. Even Megan sat still the whole time! Now thats an accomplishment. :)

This is what I get when I ask them to smile for Mommy

Love this picture! Snuggling up to Daddy.

Gingerbread Houses

We met Dad, Rene', and Leah up at the club to have dinner and decorate Gingerbread houses. Ella loved it and was all into placing everything all over her house. It kept her quite entertained. Megan on the other hand wasn't ready to sit still at all and was running all over the place. Thanks Papa! We loved it and will have to make this a yearly thing!

Excited to get started
Fiona and a random Princess were there. Shrek is coming to the Orpheum in January so I guess they were promoting that at a Christmas function. Pretty random. :)

My Favorite Marathon Runner

My husband decided that he wanted to run the St. Jude half marathon. Crazy as that sounds. I can't imagine running that far! Anyway he raised his money (thanks to all those that gave and supported him!!!!), he trained with his buddy Zacher, and he ran the half marathon this morning for the kids of St. Jude. I was so, so proud of him and all that he accomplished. And a big thank you to Zacher for helping him train and leading and teaching him in the marathon world! So proud of you my love!!

Seeing me at the finish line. I love his grin. It melts my heart!

Coming over to give me a kiss. Love him!

Finish line.

When things went south...

We had a great Thanksgiving that Thursday. Well, Mom woke up on Friday not feeling very well and not being able to walk. So by Friday afternoon we were on our way to the ER. Turns out she was having a reaction to some of her pain medicine as well as she had fallen and shattered her cancer riddled hip. So we spent the next week trying to get her well enough to travel. Unfortunately, since her hip was shattered she could not fly commercial. So we had to charter a private plane and we were able to make it home that following Thursday. She is now at Methodist Germantown awaiting hip reconstruction and arthroplasty surgery on Monday. Say a prayer!

Ella left her "daughter" for Nannie to take care of. So "Daughter" was hanging out with Nannie while flying. :)

God's Country

Landed safely at Memphis International. Private jets are the way to go!

Unloading the "patient". Ha.

Ella's "daughter" was helping the Pilot fly the plane.

New York, New York

We flew up to New York to spend Thanksgiving with Mom's family. Unfortunately, I was HORRIBLE in the picture taking department. I did not get ANY with the extended family. I was so upset with myself. However, we had a wonderful time seeing everyone. Mom didn't do so well while we were there but that's for another post.

Deja Vu

So we had gone to New York for Thanksgiving. And as we're in the rental car shuttle to go get our rental car I remember that Jeremy was sitting in the same position with Megan as he was with Ella when we were in California 2 years earlier.
