So we were getting ready this morning for work and school. I was in the kitchen getting my last minute things together. Ella walks up to me and says, "Mommy, you need to put your
offering into the basket." And she's standing there holding a basket out to me. Now here I stand, beaming with pride, because at church on Sundays we give Ella the offering and let her put it in the basket. So, one, it tells me that she's paying attention in church, and two, that she knows what the meaning is behind it. So I ask her what she's going to do with the "offering", and she says she's taking it to school to use at the snack machine. I guess we need to have another conversation on "offering". Boy she got that $1 offering out of me before she told me what she was doing with it. Smart, smart girl. We are so in trouble as she gets older. :)
