Fun at the Children's Museum

We took the girls to the Memphis Children's Museum the other weekend. I just love that place. Such a neat place for kids. And now that Megan is getting older she's having more fun there too.

Happy Halloween! Ella went as Princess Fiona (Shrek's wife) and Megan was Daisy Duke. Let's see how much fun Megan had:

Doesn't that look like she was having fun!?! She was so not a happy camper having that head piece on her head. That head never even made it out of the house. It's so funny that Ella wore it all night long and had no problem with it when she was Megan's age. But Megan COULD NOT stand it. She didn't even really like the duck costume. We finally took it off of her in the middle of trick or treating.

That's better. No more headpiece.

Princess Fiona

I realized after we got home that I never got a family shot. So these two pictures are my attempt at that.

Ella did fabulous trick or treating. She really loved it this year. She even went up to some houses by herself. Such my brave little girl. And Megan even caught on. She was watching her sister get candy and she was all, "Don't forget about me!" So she would waddle herself up the driveways and stand there until the people would give her candy. And then she wanted more! It was too funny and a whole lot of fun to watch.

Let There Be Land

We are finally land owners! We closed on our 2 acres last month. It's in a cute little gated subdivision in Arlington. And we are excited to start the building process!

This poor girl...look what she has to deal with in the mornings. And the hair in the pictures below is untouched. This is what she looks like when I go get her in the mornings. This is what happens when you're born with a full head of hair. :)

He is her favorite person in the whole wide world! It warms my heart to get to watch it!

The Bald and the Beautiful

Mom started her chemo about 3 weeks ago and it was time to start shaving her head since she had so much hair falling out. Her and Tanner were in the running to have the most hair around the house on the floor. Ha. Ella actually took it quite nice. Didn't even bother her really. She just wanted to make sure that we weren't going to do that to her head as well. :) And Megan missed out since she was already in bed. But she did give Nannie the crazy eyes the next day once she saw that there was no more hair.

We're very proud of you Mom! You've been through so much and shown such grace through everything. You look as beautiful as ever!!

Starting Early

So she comes out of her room with Taming of the Shrew. I asked her, "Ella, what are you reading?" And she responds with, "Mommy, I'm ready the Bible!" I went on to ask her another question and she said, "Shhh Mommy! I'm reading. " So sorry baby girl. I'll leave you be. :)

I Got Nothing

Sorry guys...life has actually slowed down enough to hang out and enjoy each other. So I have no pictures! And plus that stupid camera is acting up again. So I have to get that fixed.

We have found out some not so good news regarding my mom's health. So please keep her and my family in your prayers.

I promise to have you some pictures soon of my adorable babies. :)

Disney On Ice

We took Ella to Disney on Ice last weekend. It really was so cute. And she had so much fun clapping and waving to everyone. It made my day just watching her. However, there's not a lot of pictures because my camera just GAVE up. I mean how does that happen? It was working and then as soon as the show started it wouldn't take a dang picture! I was so mad because I was trying to get pictures of her priceless faces. Ugh! Anyway, at least I was there to see them and remember them. I just wish everyone else could have seen them.

2nd Haircut=Pure Torture!

So I'm embarassed to say that this is only Ella's 2nd haircut she's had. I've just never been able to get around to it. Well after all the crying while trying to brush her hair, I had had it. So we went and cut off a good bit of it last Saturday. It was not pretty but we got through it and her hair even got cut. Trust me...at one point I thought we were going to have to leave before the scissors reached her hair.

Dirty 30!

We celebrated my 30th birthday last weekend in Downtown Memphis. We had SO much fun! I haven't been out that late in a long time! We started at the Southland Greyhound Park, then ate some dinner at Bardogs, then went to Red Rooster on Beale, then ended up at Raifords. We had a blast. Thanks to the ones that were able to come out for some fun. You made my night!

She's going to make the USA Womens Soccer Team!

So, Ella had her first soccer practice/scrimmage last Thursday. The first half is working on skills and the second half is a scrimmage. Well, she did great the first half. And when it came to the scrimmage poor thing didn't understand that there's one ball and everyone is trying to get this ball. So she would get the ball, then a child would come up and take the ball, and then she would stand there and cry and point at that child and tell her Daddy that that kid took the ball away from her. If I can figure out how to upload the video I will. It was hysterical though. So afterwards we had a long discussion about how to play soccer and whats going to happen. So heres to hoping next week is a little less tearful.
