Children's Museum

We took Ella to the Children's Museum the other weekend. And although it was still a little too old for her she had a great time watching everyone around her.

I think I found Daddy. He's clogging up the heart artery.

I just couldn't resist taking this one. Look at those yummy legs! She was watching all the older kids on stage.

Trying to make her escape

Move over Daddy. Let me show you how it's done.

Trying to steal the crayons from the exhibit.

I think I need a smaller seat.

Bumps and Bruises

Lord, bless this child as she walks because people are going to start wondering about her parents with all the black and blues she's getting.

Notice the nice mark on the cheek...(fell into the dresser)

The bruise on her forehead is looking a little better.

She got a bruise on her forehead and scrapes on her cheek and nose from throwing a tantrum at school.

Tanner Kisses

This girl LOVES to give Tanner kisses. He gets the big open mouth slobbery kisses that everyone else gets too.

Pictures of Ella

Here you go...

"I wear my sunglasses at night..." (you know you just sang that song in your head!)

Dinnertime giggles

I wish you could have heard the belly laugh that was coming out of this girl

Sliding down the big girl slide

Hi Daddy! I see you!

Another comfortable nightime position

I'm coming to get you Mommy!

What!?! I'm not doing anything wrong. Does this look like a Jeremy face or what?

Loves her wagon!

Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!

Sorry for being MIA! Everyone is now back home and doing great. Jeremy and I actually got back home on the same day which was last Friday. It took Ella a little bit to figure out who he was since he had a hat on and was growing stuff on his face. Ugh! He was gone a total of three long weeks which is the longest deployment that they have had. But now she is stuck to him like glue. And Mommy's trip and birthday went well too. The years are just flying by! So now we are trying to get back into the routine and swing of things. I also apologize for the lack of pictures. I tried to upload some last night but something is wrong with our computer at home. So it might be a little while before I can get pictures up. The good news is that there's not many pictures since Jeremy and I have been gone. But I will try and get some up as soon as we can.

Hurricane Gustav and Ike

Sorry for the lack of pictures. Jeremy got deployed last Saturday with the Task Force to go down to Louisiana and help with the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav and took the computer with him. So I can't download any new pictures. However, we sure do miss our Hubby and Daddy and are ready for him to come home. Unfortunately, it looks like they will keep them down there for Hurricane Ike that's coming. Ugh! And I leave next Friday to go overseas for work. So more than likely I won't get to see my husband for three weeks. :( But anyway, he's doing great and definitely missing us.

As for Ella she is just changing so much. She is now pointing to something that she wants and grunting/whining. Mommy's not to fond of the "Fetch Mommy while I whine" game so we are working on the names of what she's pointing at and also saying please along with asking for it. And she is also starting to really get into some tantrums. I can't believe that is already starting! Not my child.....oh, yes...definitely my child. :) She's doing really well with her eating. She will eat vegetables over anything. She can put away pounds of green beans. And she's completely off the bottle. We are now on our sippy cup 24/7. She has done great with the transition and hasn't skipped a beat. Oh, and she also got tubes put in her ears and had her adenoids removed 2 weeks ago. This will hopefully stop all the ear infections she had been having. So far so good...we had our post op appointment this week and the doctor said her ears looked great. So we are very excited.

Anyway, I think that's about all thats going on right now. Just keep our family in your prayers for that Jeremy stays safe and that I have safe travels, and that Ella adjusts well from not having both her parents' around for a little while.

Breaking News!!

Ella took her first steps! When I picked her up from school today they told me she took 3 steps. That made Mommy very sad since I didn't get to see it, but then once we got home Ella did it again! I was really shocked since I wasn't expecting that and actually very teary. Anyway, I don't think she had any idea of what she was doing. Boy, are our lives about to get a whole lot busier with a little walking machine! Here we go......

Giving Daddy kisses

She didn't want to look at the camera for nothing.
Also make a note that her daddy dressed her after
her bath.

Giving her baby doll kisses

Wow! What a day we had on Sunday. Ella had her first birthday party and it was great. She had sooooo many people come over. Thank you to everyone that came. You really made her birthday so special! She did pretty good with the cake. She is definitely a girl and didn't want to get too dirty. When it was all said and done she had icing all over her face, hands, and chest and was not too happy about it. But she had a great day and can't wait to do it again next year!

And what are supposed to do with these?

Isn't that table adorable?

We all 3 survived!! Happy 1st birthday to our beautiful Ella. We can not believe that a year has passed already. This past year has been filled with joy, nervousness, scaredness, and excitement. But most of all it has been filled with so much love that we didn't even know existed within us. This little girl is the love of our lives and she has taught us so much about ourselves and each other. We can't imagine our lives without her. She is such a happy and loving baby. She is saying thank you (well more like "taa tuu"), blowing kisses, giving kisses on the lips (you know...the big, open mouth, sloppy kisses - which I might add are the best kind), dancing, and many others. Thank you, Ella Marie, for giving us one of the best years of our life. We love you with all our heart and are so glad and honored that God chose us to be your parents. Happy Birthday!!

Redneck Riviera

Well we came home from work and school and went swimming the other day. Ella just loves any kind of pool water. She was sticking her whole face in the water and loving it. Even Tanner had to get in on the action.
